Searching the Bisbee Court Docket
Arizona Public Access splits its Bisbee results three ways: Municipal, Justice, and Cochise County Superior. Pick the court named on your ticket, complaint, or notice. The portal asks you to pass a CAPTCHA. Then it lets you search by party name or case number. Name searches need at least a last name or a business name. Adding the year and the exact court cuts down false Bisbee matches fast. For case-number mode, copy the whole string from the record. Include the prefix, dash, year, and sequence.
- Identify Municipal, Justice, or Superior Court from the Bisbee paperwork.
- Enter the verification word and choose name or number search.
- Select the exact Bisbee court and add a filing year when known.
- Open Case Information and read the events in date order, newest first.
- Confirm a close hearing or request an official file from the owning clerk.
Updates arrive weekly. The Friday publication reflects filings through Wednesday, and it is not the official Bisbee court record.
Bisbee Three-Court Docket Map
Bisbee serves as county seat. That label does not fold every local record into one Superior Court file. Municipal Court handles city cases. Bisbee Justice Court is known as JP1. It keeps state misdemeanors, traffic matters, evictions, small claims, and limited civil cases. The Cochise County Clerk of Superior Court holds the rest. That means felony, general civil, family, probate, juvenile, and mental-health files. A few of those Superior categories never appear in the public web index.
| Bisbee court | Main docket route | Custodian |
|---|---|---|
| Municipal | City citation and ordinance | Municipal clerk |
| Justice JP1 | State traffic, misdemeanor, limited civil | Justice Court clerk |
| Superior | Felony and general jurisdiction | Cochise County Clerk |
So the court selector matters more than the city name. No single portal merges these records.
Bisbee Municipal Court Basics
The official Bisbee Municipal Court page names the city court and its contact channel.

That city page helps separate courts. It sorts the Bisbee city court from JP1 and the Superior Court Clerk. A citation issued by the city belongs at Municipal Court. A local ordinance charge belongs there too, within that court's jurisdiction. Local ordinance charges do not appear in Arizona Public Access. When a city-code citation returns nothing online, call the Municipal Court directly. Give the clerk the citation number. Also give your name as printed and the date on the paper. Ask them to confirm the Bisbee case number, the current setting, and how to get copies.
Quality Hill Versus Judd Dockets
The physical layout of Bisbee makes custody plain. The Superior Court Clerk sits at 100 Quality Hill Road, Bisbee, AZ 85603. Reach the office at 520-432-8600. Mail goes to P.O. Box CK, Bisbee, AZ 85603. Bisbee Justice Court works from 207 N Judd Drive, Bisbee, AZ 85603, phone 520-432-9540. Walk into the wrong building and you face the wrong record keeper.

Bisbee splits its court docket access three ways. Quality Hill handles Superior Court copies and certifications. Judd Drive holds JP1 files. Municipal Court is its own separate route for a city case.
Each clerk keeps different hours, so plan around them. Quality Hill's counter serves the public on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except government holidays. JP1's payment window closes earlier, at 4:30 p.m., so that deadline matters if money is owed. For phone help, Court Administration answers 520-432-8500, while Research Office staff take calls at 520-432-8635. Old or unclear Superior Court docket material? Call that second number. JP1 questions go to the Justice clerk, and a Municipal Court case lookup stays with the city clerk.
Court Dates and Settings in Bisbee
A Bisbee court date can surface in several places. Look for a served notice, the latest event, a minute entry, a calendar, or the court's internal schedule. Old dates stay visible after a reset, so start with the newest entry. "Set" means placed on the calendar. "Continued" or "reset" means moved. "Vacated" strips a setting away. The Bisbee case itself is not dismissed by that word alone.
| Date | The newest active date in a notice, order, or minute entry. |
|---|---|
| Time | The individual time or court docket window. |
| Court | Bisbee Municipal, Bisbee Justice, or Cochise County Superior. |
| Officer | The judicial officer listed when the feed supplies one. |
| Type | Initial appearance, arraignment, pretrial, motion, trial, sentence, or review. |
The weekly portal can lag behind a late change. Call the court in the caption and ask whether the Bisbee hearing is in person or remote.
Bisbee JP1 Docket Timing
A Cochise County administrative order sets the JP1 schedule. Initial appearances run between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. That hearing advises rights and addresses release. It is not a trial and not a final outcome. Individual matters may shift times to meet the prompt post-arrest rule. Follow the specific Bisbee notice and the newest order. A felony may show early events at JP1 before the case moves on to Superior Court. Search both courts and keep both numbers. The Superior docket can open with a fresh filing after the Justice Court's preliminary work. Note: The newest Bisbee minute entry controls. It decides whether an older date left in the case history continues or is vacated.
Traffic Tickets in Bisbee
Start with the right court. A Bisbee city citation normally goes to Municipal Court. A state or highway ticket may instead name Bisbee Justice Court. Search that exact court's docket. Entries can show the charge, the plea, hearing settings, and the judgment. The fine and compliance details may appear too, as the court supplies them. Watch for one gap: an active ordinance case may still be absent from Public Access.
The JP1 payment counter closes at 4:30 p.m. The court takes no personal checks. Cash, money orders, and major cards work under the county's current payment rules. A returned check adds $25, and coin payments cap at $5 per day. Paying a fine never excuses a required Bisbee appearance. Criminal traffic cases need court contact first. Only the court can confirm a reduction, a dismissal, or the defensive-driving route.
Bisbee Public-Terminal Docket History
A public-access computer sits at the Bisbee Clerk site. A 2022 construction notice temporarily sent users to the Sierra Vista machine. That shows the two Clerk terminals are part of one county access plan. Call ahead to confirm the terminal is open before you drive over.
The machine helps with an older or unclear Superior Court case. Some of those will not resolve in the ordinary web view. It cannot break a seal or a confidentiality rule. Rule 123 still governs what is open. A Justice or Municipal file stays with its own Bisbee clerk. The county terminal being close by does not change that.
Bring the Bisbee court name. Bring party names, the likely filing year, and the case number if you have it. The statewide year selector reaches back to 1916. That range does not prove every old file is digitized or included. A failed search can reflect coverage gaps or spelling. It can also mean the wrong court choice or retention limits. The terminal and its staff give you another Superior Court channel for a Cochise County docket search. Locating an archived record may still take time. Ask about copy service fees when you call.
Where Bisbee Cases Go
Each court has a lane. Bisbee Municipal Court keeps city-level matters within its authority. JP1 resolves many state misdemeanors, traffic cases, evictions, small claims, and limited civil claims, and it conducts the early felony steps. The continuing felony docket, general civil, and other broad trial matters belong to the Superior Court of Arizona in Cochise County.

A new number can appear. Transfers, appeals, consolidations, and remands create them. Search the receiving court, and look for the source Bisbee number in its opening events; the Cochise County case lookup offers the county-level portal fields without changing the local custody rule.
Bisbee Digital-Filing Docket Trail
Arizona’s official e-filing information explains the filing system represented in this captured source.

Three systems do different jobs in Bisbee records. eFileAZ and AZTurboCourt receive filings. Public Access shows informational case events. eAccess sells eligible document images. An e-filed item still has to be accepted. It must be entered before it joins the Bisbee-linked record.
Cochise supports civil and family initiation and later filings. Later criminal, juvenile, and probate filings are supported too. Mental-health e-filing is unavailable. Civil e-filing now runs in all six Justice Courts. That step does not make every document public online.
Do not collapse the stages. Electronic submission is the filer's delivery step. Clerk acceptance places the filing into the court system. A case event may then appear in the informational index. That display is subject to the weekly publication cycle. An eligible public image may later be sold through paid eAccess. Remote-access filters still apply at every stage. So a newly submitted Bisbee paper is not guaranteed to be visible at once. And a missing image does not prove the Clerk rejected it.
Bisbee Court Record Access Rules
Rule 123 governs public access to Bisbee judicial records. Remote access is narrower than what the court may allow by inspection. Public Access leaves out sealed cases, protection orders, mental-health and probate matters, juvenile delinquency, victim and witness data, and local ordinances. Personal identifiers must stay protected.
Bisbee access boundaries:
Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 controls access to judicial records.
ACJA §1-604 governs remote case-record delivery.
A.R.S. §12-2201 supplies a public-inspection framework subject to court rules.
A blank Bisbee result hides the reason. Check the court, spelling, year, weekly lag, and case category. Then ask the clerk what access is lawful.
The free index excludes probate, mental-health, protection-order, sealed, victim or witness, and juvenile delinquency records. Some juvenile traffic can display. That narrow exception does not open the broader juvenile file. Anyone authorized to seek a restricted Bisbee record should contact the court, establish identity and authority, and follow any order or controlled-access process. The clerk cannot override a judge's restriction. No public terminal or ordinary copy request will do it.
Bisbee State-Federal Docket Boundary
Quality Hill is not the federal clerk. Its county-seat status does not change that. A federal case tied to Bisbee belongs to the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, which runs on PACER. The official federal District Court site lays out the court's own docket information.

Federal papers and certified copies come from the federal court itself. The Bisbee Municipal, Justice, and Superior clerks cannot supply them. State criminal and civil matters stay inside their own Arizona court systems.
Need a Superior Court copy instead? The Cochise Clerk Research Office, at 520-432-8635, handles old, excluded, or unclear files. The county form can be emailed, mailed, or hand-delivered. Certification runs $35 each, and certified copies cannot be emailed. Copies for limited-court cases stay with the Bisbee clerk handling that court.
The records form also covers examination, ordinary email delivery, mail, and courthouse pickup. Rather than asking for every paper in a Bisbee court file, describe the exact event. Give the case number, the document title, and the docket date. Staff call or email you when pickup is ready. Mail may add shipping and handling, though the amount is not published. If you want a signed order, name the order itself. An event label on the docket is not the filed document.
Recorded Bisbee proceedings follow a separate digital-audio route through the Superior Court. That route is apart from the copy request. Server recordings usually finish within seven business days. They carry a $35 minimum Clerk fee. When a court reporter attended, the minute entry says so. That reporter prepares the official transcript. A sound file alone is not a certified transcript.
